Thompson First Group is seeking a Program Manager for a local client in Aston, PA.

Candidates with experience managing military or commercial programs in a manufacturing environment, proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and the Microsoft Office suite, and strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of experience as a Program Manager in a manufacturing environment

  • Three years of experience in steel and aluminum sheet metal manufacturing required

  • Experience with quality systems including ISO9001, APQP, PDCA (A3), and other industry wide standards

  • Proven experience in program management, stakeholder management, and managing a cross-functional team

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field of study

Responsibilities

  • The Program Manager will primarily be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to execute new product development programs and other significant capital projects and machine installations related to manufacturing operations, within time and budget

  • Develop manufacturing program plans, and outline strategy, scope, schedule, resource requirements, and cost targets. Work collaboratively with manufacturing engineering and cross-functional teams to drive the manufacturing teams toward the plan

  • Manage project roadmap to align with the framework of the overall program. Create, maintain, communicate, and present schedules for projects to the engineering leadership team

  • Define and drive tasks to be performed by the cross-functional team. Prioritize team project work based on schedule, risk, resources, and payback. Track deliverables, project status, and action items against the schedule

  • Drive continuous improvement projects to execution, such as modifications needed to equipment by working with internal teams and equipment vendors

  • Continuously develop and adapt processes and methodologies to the team’s needs
